How to Tap Into Nature & Thrive
Updated: May 6, 2019
Tapping into Nature's wisdom is a powerful experience. One that never ceases to surprise and delight me. Whether it's connection on the physical plane, being in the energetic flow, or an awe-inspiring divine aspect of the universe, the insight I receive is astounding. It feels like a spiritual spa treatment.
As a whole, humanity spends inordinate amounts of time trying to figure out why we are here. What is the purpose of our existence? Is there something we are here to accomplish? We drive ourselves crazy striving to find the "right" path, judging ourselves when we fall or fail, and finally falling into line with what others say is right for us. Our spirit aches, and we are broken.
What if we step off that wheel, and just sit a moment.
What if we allowed the soothing rhythms of our natural environment to teach us. How would that transform the way we move through life, our relationships, our society? There's no way for us to truly know something until we give it a try ourselves.
That's what I did. What I found was that despite my very skeptical mind and the great amount of time I spent analyzing my experiences with Nature, it worked. There was measurable change, body, mind, spirit and soul. I felt better.
I believe that nature connection is the answer to our personal and societal problems. Nature heals. Us. Unfortunately, our taught Nature disconnected behaviours feed the crazy-maker wheel that is our contemporary social mindset. Tools and practices that help us get hold of our human experience, create clarity and balance within ourselves, our relationships, and our communities are invaluable.
What do these tools and practices look like?
First, they must be easy to use, whenever and wherever I need them.
They must be intelligently designed, appealing to my body, mind, spirit, and soul.
They must provide repeatable results. This is important to me! Scientifically speaking.
It must be FUN!
They must provide clarity, improve balance in my relationships with myself, others and Nature; and...
Finally, they must help me feel better about myself by promoting an improved sense of personal wellness.
Believe me, it wasn't an easy thing to compile a viable list. Decades of trial and error, education and apprenticeships, and finally, I am happy with the results. They work. I use them all the time in my daily life. Does it make all the world's problems that manifest in my life go away? Stop issues in my relationships from coming up? Not yet. Unfortunately, not everyone is using these tools and practices. However, it does help me navigate the rapids and come out onto the shore on the other side feeling good about myself, and who I am.
Where do you find tools and practices like that? I'll share the healing with you, if you'd like. You can give them a go, chart the results, while having some creative fun reconnecting to and communicating with Nature.
